Callahan Publishing is an Independent Publisher, with a focus on non-fiction restaurant, culinary, and cookbooks. Because we are smaller, we don't play by the same rules as the bigger publishers. We have nearly zero overhead, making us a lean operating force. Our first book Cooking for Chemo ...and After! won a 2016 Gourmand World Cookbook Award. Because we operate at the cutting edge we are always several years ahead of the trends. We benefit from the newest advertising platforms and operate grassroots campaigns to get our information into the hands of those who need it most.
Just like the recording industry, the book publishing industry has changed. It is no longer simply about putting the book out there, and hoping that people will buy it. The publishing industry encompasses not just books, but radio, television, internet, video, social media and so much more. This is why it is no longer in the best interest of the author to simply have a book publishing or distribution deal. It is in the author and the publisher's best interest to do a 360 deal encompassing all media.
